1) How did geography affect the development of Rome?
It was in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, giving Rome a water supply for irrigation, farming, drinking, and cleaning as well as making it easier to trade.
2) How did the Etruscans influence the development of Rome?
The Romans had to overthrow the Etruscan king before they could have power. Because of how mean the king was Roam decided to never have a king as their leader. This made them create and use the government system known as the republic.
3) Which were the main groups that competed for power in the early Roman republic?
The nobles (Patricians) and the common people (Plebeians).
4) What is the significance of the Twelve Tables in Roman law?
It was the first time that the common people could see the laws and defend them selves legally.
5) How did Rome regain control of Italy after the sacking of the city by the Gauls?
They took over central Italy and slowly worked there way through the rest of Italy until they dominated all of it.
